I'd also like to thank site and discord admin Kittenswolf for his help, and everyone else beta testing on discord for the past few months. This took far more effort than expected, and they even managed to make a custom port of box2d just to maintain all the quirks of the original game. Goodboy Digital are my friends in London responsible for the port of the game, and they have my eternal thanks. The only thing lost is the impending doom of the end of existence. The database of users, levels, and replays remains the same. Aside from that, Happy Wheels JS should be pretty close in every way to the original. It is already possible through a setting though, so perhaps I could host a 60 Hz version on another page for those with super beefy processors. Though I mentioned previously that the game would now run at 60 fps, some of the heavier levels definitely bog down at that framerate.
#DUMB WAYS TO DIE RED BUTTON GIF BLUETOOTH#
If you're desperate to try it out on your phone, a bluetooth keyboard works very well. However, this release does not yet include on screen mobile controls. Though I still love flash, what's great about this version is that it performs very well on mobile devices. This is the first public version of the game, so please allow some time for the remaining bugs to be ironed out. If you didn't even know it was in development, then here is your exciting news. Hopefully the fear of losing Happy Wheels did not prevent your restful sleep. The cause is good, the game is not.Moments before the horrific, blasphemous death of flash, the java script version of Happy Wheels has arrived. Likely to keep your interest less than an hour with little incentive to keep playing. Get a few easy ones such as ‘keeping the bi-plane afloat by blowing’ or ‘don’t push the big red button’ & you will get a nice high score easily. Annoyingly your high score will depend on what random mini-games you get, there are a few that become nigh-impossible once the game has sped itself up significantly. The only real incentive to replay the game is to unlock the characters & set yourself a high score. Score thresholds unlock characters waiting at your train station (menu screen) & you can also unlock the original music video that started it all off. You will have to flick piranha away from eating the genitals of one character, duck at the right time as one character pokes a bear with a stick & fit the missing letters in to spell ‘patience’ to name just a few.Įach come with their own amusing death sequence if failed & result in a life lost, lose all 3 & it is game over. The mini-games are short but pretty clever (at least the first time you see then). Every so often the game will indicate that it is all going to get faster & the allotted time you have to save the character goes down a lot quicker. The entire game is just 15 mini-games that task you with saving the lives of the dumb characters. You know, Kate Moss the well-known gamer….

Keeping in line with the campaign players can also pledge not to do stupid stuff around trains.ĭumb Ways To Die perked up my interest thanks to a bizarre tagline in its app-store description…”Kate Moss’s favourite game, according to The Guardian”. The game was released in May 2013 & gave players the change to avoid the many hazards that kill the characters from the video. Thanks to the accompanying song it was a huge hit on YouTube. The video saw 21 cartoonish characters killing themselves in dumb ways ending with 3 being killed by trains because of unsafe behaviour. It was to promote rail safety & the video went viral after a huge social media following.
